GlideRide Max 2
It is a firm, very stable rocker shoe for heavy runners who find the Nimbus too soft, fast runners who like a firm long-run shoe, and walking or plantar fasciitis. It is not built for my profile, it gave me no energy at my paces, and I would not buy it again at ₹17,000 to ₹18,000.

Fresh Foam X More v6
For walking, long hours of standing, slow jogging, heavy runners, people with knee or hip pain and older people, nothing under ₹10,000 beats it. If you want energy return and fast running, forget it.

Superblast 3
If money is no issue and you want one shoe that makes you love running, the Superblast 3 is the one I recommend. No other shoe this year gave me this much fun, though the soft exposed midsole wears quickly.

Gel-Nimbus 28
For heavy beginners, walk-runners and recovery days, it is one of the most comfortable shoes in the world. With ₹17,000 in hand I would not buy it again: I'd buy a discounted Nimbus 27 and a lighter daily trainer.

Gel-Nimbus 27
A premium, highly protective max-cushion shoe for beginners, heavy runners and long distances, and one of my top three max-cushion daily trainers. ₹16,000 is too expensive, but at around ₹11,000 I'd pick it over the 26 without a second thought.

Triumph 22
I was disappointed, because the PEBA blend made it plush but not at all energetic, and it lost the versatility of the Triumph 21. For heavy runners, beginners, slow marathoners and walkers it is a durable, premium shoe, and at around ₹8,000 you can buy it without thinking.

Ultraboost 5
The Ultraboost 5 is the most underrated max-cushion daily trainer, soft with energy return that other max-cushion shoes lack. I would not recommend it at ₹17,000–18,000, but under ₹10,000 just buy it.

Gel-Nimbus 26
I would not recommend it at ₹16,000, but at the ₹8,000 sale price I know of no other shoe this soft, protective, durable and premium. The snug, low toe box is its one major flaw.

Max cushionPuma
MagMax Nitro
The MagMax is one of the most comfortable shoes I tested this year and a protective max-cushion shoe for slow, easy running, scoring 38/50. If you get it for ₹12,000, close your eyes and buy it.

Superblast 2
The Superblast 2 is one of the greatest super trainers, light, balanced and with energy return, and I set every PB in it. I rate it 9/10 overall and 8/10 for my own slower profile; at around ₹15,000 it is an absolute banger.

Triumph 21
After 500 km it still has the same pep, and I expect another 500 km from it. At ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 it is real value for money for anyone running six months or more who wants one non-plated shoe for everything up to the full marathon.

Gel-Nimbus 25
The plushness of the Nimbus 25 is something I have not found in any other shoe, and it is a joy for beginners, slow runners, heavy runners and anyone recovering from injury. At around ₹6,000 it is absolute value for money, and I give it 8 out of 10.
