My verdict
I would not recommend this shoe for running at all, and launching it at ₹10,000 is highway robbery. Buy it only as a premium walking shoe, and for running spend about ₹1,000 more on a proper trainer like the Supernova Rise 3.
Pros
- Very soft, premium step-in feel
- Soft tongue, heel padding and upper
- Premium looks and many colourways
- Thick outsole
- Good ground feel
Cons
- Not responsive, soft or protective for running on roads
- Dreamstrike PEBA feel barely noticeable
- Overpriced at ₹10,000
- Not worth buying for running even at ₹4,500
Avoid if
Avoid it if you want a shoe for running, even at the ₹4,500 sale price.

4.0/10
On hard roads it doesn't feel responsive, soft or protective at all, and I can feel the PEBA only 20 to 30 percent.
Design & Comfort
7.5/10
The soft tongue, heel padding and upper give a premium step-in feel comparable to the Nimbus when walking.

Launching it at ₹10,000 feels like highway robbery, and even at ₹4,500 I would only buy it for walking.

Adidas sells this as a running shoe at ₹10,000, and I don't recommend it for running at all. They claim a full-length Dreamstrike midsole, a PEBA blend, but I can feel the PEBA maybe 20 to 30 percent. The rest feels like nothing to me. With a 10 mm drop and 24–26 mm of stack, I can really feel the ground. On hard roads it doesn't feel responsive, soft or protective at all. For beginners, asking ₹10,000 for this feels like a scam. The one thing I like is how it feels to walk in. The tongue, heel padding and especially the upper are very soft, and it feels as premium as stepping into an ASICS Nimbus. Six or seven out of ten people who try it in a store will end up buying it. It looks premium, comes in many colours, and has a nice thick outsole. It is now on Flipkart for ₹4,500. Don't buy it for running even at that price. If you want a premium walking shoe and love Adidas, okay, go ahead. For running, add about ₹1,000 and get a shoe that lasts 1,000 km. My first picks are the Adidas Supernova Rise 3 at ₹6,500 and the ASICS Cumulus 27 or Cirrus 2 at ₹5,300. Heavier runners can wait for the Nimbus 27 to drop to ₹6,000, flat-footed runners can take the GT-2000, and under ₹3,500 the Excite 10 and Gel-Pulse 16 are good options.

Rewell
For ₹1,500, no one makes a more durable, walking-friendly and beginner-friendly shoe. It is a 10/10 for office goers, walkers and all-day standing, and an 8/10 for beginner runners, held back by a tight, hot upper.

WalkingRed Tape
Cloud-Style Walking Shoe
I would not recommend these for running, but as trendy walking and casual shoes under ₹1,500 they are worth every penny.

Aeonic Recovery
The design and materials are top notch for ₹6,000, but the midsole feels flat and dead and the shoe weighs 390 g, so I would not recommend it for running. I am returning it; buy it only for walking and casual wear.
