My verdict
Apart from one heel strip that heats up at fast paces, this is one of the finest shoes and one of the best innovations of 2026. It suits runners at 4:00 to 5:30/km, not slow runners, beginners or heavier runners.
Pros
- Very bouncy and energetic from the first step
- Stable despite the bounce
- Feels lighter than its 250 g
- Highly durable, no wear after a half marathon
- Grippy full-coverage Lighttraction outsole
- Stylish PrimeWeave upper, also good for casual wear
- Premium gusseted tongue and laces
- True to size with enough toe room
Cons
- Plastic heel strip heats up at fast paces
- Uncomfortable at slow paces, keeps pushing you faster
- Too much foam under the forefoot below 4:00/km
- Not for beginners, heavier runners or weak ankles
Avoid if
Avoid it if you run slower than 6:00/km, are a beginner or a heavier runner, or need a stable, soft shoe with ankle support.

Ride
8.5/10
It is the bounciest shoe I have tried, with firm, highly energetic foam that is great at 5:30/km and faster but pushes too hard for slow runs.
Design & Comfort
8.0/10
The PrimeWeave upper is stylish and fits true to size with a premium tongue and padding, but a plastic strip in the heel got very hot when I sprinted.
Value
8.0/10
At ₹20,000 it is highly durable, and I said no other shoe gives equal value or feel for that money if it fits you.

I bought the Adidas Hyperboost Edge for ₹20,000 and ran slow runs, fast runs and a half marathon in it. My UK 8 weighs about 250 g, but it felt more like 230 g. The stack is 45 mm at the heel and 39 mm at the forefoot, a 6 mm drop. I treated it as a super trainer, and it is the bounciest shoe I have tried. You feel it from the first step. The Hyperboost Pro foam is not soft. At my 70–72 kg it is a firmer, bouncy ride, not rock-hard, and it gives back a lot of energy. That bounce kept pushing me. I could not run comfortably at my 6:30/km easy pace, and it kept me at 5:40–5:55/km. At around 5:30/km it was very comfortable and bouncy, and sprints felt energetic. Below 4:00/km I felt there was too much foam under the forefoot, and there are better shoes for that kind of speed. Even so, it is bouncy and stable at the same time. The PrimeWeave upper looks stylish enough for casual wear, with internal eyelets that keep it clean. It fitted me true to size with enough toe box space. The gusseted tongue and laces feel premium, and the thin heel padding has two soft pads where the foot rubs, which worked well for me. Ventilation was manageable, but a plastic strip inside the heel area got very hot when I sprinted at 3:30–4:00/km. That is the one real problem I found. The new Lighttraction rubber covers the full outsole and grips better than Continental for me. After a half marathon and two or three easy runs I saw no wear anywhere. I recommend it for runners at 4:00 to 5:30/km doing long runs of 15–35 km, up to a full marathon. If you run slower than 6:00/km, are a beginner, are heavier or lack ankle stability, please forget it. If it fits you, I don't think any other shoe gives equal value or feel for that money. For my own profile, the ASICS Megablast is a better option for faster running, and I would pair the Superblast 3 for easy long runs with this for 5:00–5:30/km half marathon and up-tempo long runs.

Megablast
The Megablast is one of the best running shoes ever, with an explosive, springy FF Turbo Squared ride I have never felt before. It is only worth ₹23,000–24,000 if you run 2:30–5:00/km and can spare the money.
