| Pros | One of the most protective max-cushion shoes · Rocker eased my plantar fasciitis · Great for flat feet | Bouncy Nitro foam, rare in a stability shoe · Works at slow and fast paces · Light, non-intrusive heel clip for mild support · Roomy toe box with a snug midfoot · Excellent grip, acceptable wear after 500 km |
| Cons | Heavier · Not responsive · Runs half a size small | Upper developed a cut · Only mild stability · Rarely discounted |
| Avoid if | Avoid it if you want a light or responsive shoe. It is heavy, and it runs half a size small. | You need aggressive stability or prefer the plush, protective feel of the Kayano. |
My verdicts
New Balance
860 v15
Its rocker did the bending for me, which really helped my plantar fasciitis in the early days. One of the most protective cushioned shoes for plantar fasciitis, flat feet and other foot issues. Look for it at ₹12,000–13,000.
Avoid if: Avoid it if you want a light or responsive shoe. It is heavy, and it runs half a size small.

ForeverRun Nitro
After nearly 500 km, the ForeverRun Nitro is a mild stability shoe that does not feel like one, thanks to its bouncy Nitro foam. At ₹7,000–9,000 it is the best value for money.
Avoid if: You need aggressive stability or prefer the plush, protective feel of the Kayano.
