Action's Turbo series comes in 501, 502, 503 and 504 versions that look almost identical. I tested the 501 (a favourite long-run shoe under ₹1,200), the 502 and the 504; I skipped the 503, which looked more like a casual shoe. Of the three, the 504 is the lightest and softest, with a bit of bounce on top of a dense, balanced foam. It's ideal for beginners building from 5 km to 10–15 km long runs. None of the Turbos are for fast running: keep the pace slower than 6:00/km. The 504 shares the 501's design and upper, and like the 501 it runs long at UK 9, so stay with your usual size. I bought it for about ₹1,000. For me, the 501, 502 and 504 are the only good shoes Action makes.
