My first choice for beginners and moderate pronators if price is not a problem. Soft and responsive, with the most relaxed, non-intrusive support system I have tried (Guide Your Ride) and the widest toe box among my support shoes.
Avoid if: Avoid it if you need strong support, because the support is moderate, or want the ride to stay fun past 15 km.

My favourite GT-2000 of the five-plus I have tested: stable without being harsh, comfortable from walking to a full marathon, and an easy buy on sale.
Avoid if: You have very high arches (pick a soft max-cushion neutral shoe such as the New Balance More v6 or 1080v14), you weigh over about 90 kg (pick the Kayano 32 or New Balance 860 v15), you have wide feet, or you want a fast shoe.
